Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad

Sultan-Ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy came into existence in the year 1997 and the college is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University located in Hyderabad. The college has been showing successful results right from its inception and the faculty and non-teaching associates of the institution have demonstrated their teamwork in carrying out innovation and upgrading the standard of quality improvement in the area of pharmaceutical education.


Course Details:

The only course offered by the Sultan-ul-Uloom College is Bachelor of Pharmacy course and this course is offered by the institution with approval from the All India Council for Technical Education, Pharmacy Council of India and with affiliation from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

Course Curriculum:

From Bachelor of Pharmacy course offered by the Sultan-ul-Uloom College, students will be able to acquire both practical and theoretical professional knowledge in fields like pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmacognosy, biotechnology, pharmacology inclusive of health education, physiology and anatomy, pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutical technology through theoretical training in classrooms and practical training through appropriate laboratories. The students of B. Pharm are also offered with the basic knowledge of computers both at theoretical level and at practical level.

Performance of students and results acquired by the college:

Sultan-Ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy has been showing excellent results right from its inception and the number of students acquiring distinctions is always higher in this college as compared to the number of students getting first class. The students of the college has acquired top position as the best outgoing students among the students of other pharmacy colleges affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

Admissions:

For seeking admission to the first year of the four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy course, candidates must fulfill the eligibility requirement according to the requirement of affiliating university and the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The college is permitted to admit 60 students per year for the B. Pharmacy course. Out of these seats, 15% are supernumerary seats and they are reserved for citizens of foreign nations.  Admission for the state quota seats will be based on marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Infrastructure:

Sultan-ul-Uloom College has excellent infrastructural facilities like playground, seminar halls, auditorium and other common facilities. The college is located in a vast campus with supporting professional college and the college is backed up by a professionally managed placement cell. Sultan-ul-Uloom College also has a museum for exhibiting crucial aspects of different disciplines like physiology and anatomy with models of different organs and systems of human body. Herbarium of medical plants and samples of crude drugs, different formulations that are administered by different routs like aerosols, sublingual, topical, etc… are displayed.
